8000 Series Stool | MO 8000 | Magnus Olesen

The 8000 series is a design icon produced by Magnus Olesen since 1981. The furniture is based on a unique and patented production technology without the use of screws and dowels, which makes the furniture incredibly strong and very flexible despite its low weight.

The 8000 series comprises three different chairs, all of which are stackable. The MO 8000 stool is endlessly stackable, whilst the MO 8002 chair is stackable in multiples of six.

The series has been a part of many Danes’ upbringing in schools and institutional interiors and is known as part of the interior design of ‘Cafe Victor’ when it first opened in Copenhagen.

In 2021, Magnus Olesen brought the 80s to life with a relaunch of the iconic 8000 series chair in 9 new colors – all in FSC lacquered beech. The colors of the lacquered chairs are color choices from the designers’ own hands – complimented by muted colors in the trend of the time.

The 8000 series chairs are available in a variety of different materials and finishes, with or without upholstery.
