The CH22 lounge chair was part of Hans J. Wegner’s debut collection for Carl Hansen & Son. Crafted from wood with seats in paper cord instead of upholstery, the chairs are among the designer’s most well-known and sought-after creations today.

Historically, teak was commonly used to make some of the first Hans J. Wegner mix chairs in the 1950-1960s. Teak wood is characterized by its high strength and stability, and its color has a lively appearance with dark stripes that follow the growth rings.
