Fifteen years after creating the OW149 Colonial Chair, Ole Wanscher would design the matching OW149-2 Colonial Sofa and Colonial Coffee Table, creating the Colonial Series in 1964.

Wanscher wished to create furniture that paid tribute to classic conservative trends but also stood the test of time. The Colonial Series combine contrasting forms and materials to create a refined and luxurious whole, creating his most famous furniture work.
