The Åkande Series designed by Jonas Lyndby Jensen for Onecollection is nominated for 2022 Design Awards by the leading Danish interior magazines Bobedre, Magasinet and Scandinavian Living in the category of ‘Furniture of the Year.’

“A humble piece of furniture that is magnificent in the detail. This is how you could describe Jonas Lyndby’s Åkande Series designed for Onecollection. The series, which includes two stools, a side table and a desk, was created to complement Finn Juhl’s iconic furniture design. All four pieces of furniture are characterized by the detailing around the edges, reminiscent of a leaf from a water lily. With the delicate design features, the furniture almost becomes an extension of Finn Juhl’s expressive design.”
High praise indeed. But accurate. We were lucky enough to see the Åkande Series launched alongside Finn Juhl’s own furniture during the Copenhagen design festival, 3daysofdesign, in June. The philosophical connection between the two Danish designers is unmistakeable. But beyond comparisons with Finn Juhl, Åkande is a range both accessible and aspirational, fine-tuned to the way we live at home today.
